Type of Workshop: | Card Making | | | Mixed Media | |
This mixed media card class uses designer papers, dimensional paste, splatter mediums, and more with tearing, stenciling, fussy cutting, inking, etc., to create one-of-a-kind, dimensional cards. While you will not have time to create all the cards in class, we will begin with the most complex card (the big wave). It is our goal that you leave empowered to finish the remaining cards later after having learned the techniques. - What products will be highlighted: Tearing, splattering, and dimensional paste.
- What will I learn or complete: One of the three cards, with supplies to finish the rest later.
- What do I need to bring to class: Scissors, non-stick craft mat, splatter brush (we used #2 and #4 fan brushes), tool to stencil clouds (sponge, blending brush, etc.), dye inks (in the blue, brown, golden, yellow and purple families), wet wipes, and glue. Optional: Foam tape.
- What do I need to finish at home: Markers or colored pencils.
- What techniques will I learn or use: You will learn about tearing, splattering, and dimensional paste.
- Will I complete this project in class: Work at home will be needed to finish projects.
