During this experience, you will be using the Cupixel app to transform a personal photo into a work of art. We use artificial intelligence (AI) to create an outline of any image uploaded from your phone’s gallery. We then use augmented reality (AR) to "cast" the outline onto a surface. Follow along with the on-demand video of our artist-in-residence while also feeling supported by our in-person team who will assist with material setup and app navigation. A Cupixel greeting card set, complete with device stand, markers, greeting cards and inserts, pencil, eraser, and sharpener is included with your ticket price. The set also includes a one-month subscription to the app to continue creating at home!
- What products will be highlighted: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Augmented Reality (AR) via the Cupixel app and using the Cupixel greeting card set.
- What will I learn or complete: One (or more!) greeting card containing a hand-drawn personal photo.
- What do I need to bring to class: Please bring your iPhone or Android phone and headphones. We suggest that you download the Cupixel app (free) from the App Store or Google Play before you come to the workshop.
- What do I need to finish at home: Nope! You will leave with the Cupixel greeting card set and a one-month subscription to the app to continue creating at home.
- What techniques will I learn or use: You'll enjoy tracing with Augmented Reality (AR) and work on your hand-eye coordination.
- Will I complete this project in class: Yes it is very likely you will finish the projects in class.
