Gelli Plate printing is a fun, simple method of monoprinting that uses a soft, flexible, gelatin-like plate (the Gelli plate) to create unique, layered art without needing a printing press. You roll acrylic paint onto the plate, create textures with stencils or natural items, then press paper onto it to lift the design, resulting in one-of-a-kind prints perfect for mixed media, collage, or cards. We’ll review acrylic paint options, paper types, and alignment techniques. You will leave with multiple finished sheets in addition to tags. This class from Art Anthology will be as fun as it is educational. Come get inky with us! - What products will be highlighted: The Gelli Plate and acrylic paint.
