In this class you will learn an assortment of techniques for card makers using metallic watercolors. You will paint a pre-embossed image, make a freehand wreath, a scenic background, and if time permits, a splatter card. You will work on both black and white cardstock. Embellishments and sentiments will vary according to availability. You will not overstamp your scenic background in class. We have included one that we finished so that you can see the possibilities! You will be provided a 12-color palette of metallic watercolors which you will take home. Your kit will include assembly papers for four cards, but you will not have time to assemble them in class. - What products will be highlighted: Metallic watercolors
- What will I learn or complete: Four cards using four techniques. (Some cards may need to be finished at home.)
- What do I need to bring to class: Small jar of water, detail waterbrush, round paint brush, pencil, 3 x 5" post-it notes, and wet wipes or paper towels. Optional: An assortment of sizes and styles of brushes.
- What do I need to finish at home: Paper trimmer, ruler, and adhesive.
- What techniques will I learn or use: You will learn basic and freehand metallic watercolor techniques.
- Will I complete this project in class: Work at home will be needed to finish projects.
