In this workshop, you will use our two-piece moon stencil to create spotlights and assorted backgrounds to create visual texture. We will demonstrate and teach you the basic technique, and then you will be given time to create your 8 favorite cards! Your kit will include 12 pre-printed black & white card fronts suitable for a variety of occasions. You will create the spotlights and add visual texture with a background stencil. (Stencil designs vary and may be different than what is shown.) Coloring is optional, but recommended, and can be done with markers or colored pencils. You may need to finish coloring and assembly after class. Because everyone will be using different colors of ink, accent layers will not be provided in your kit. Please Note: Students must be prepared to sit with and share stencils with someone else. - What products will be highlighted: Stencils.
- What will I learn or complete: Your kit will include 12 card choices and assembly papers for your 8 favorites. You will take home a two-piece moon stencil and one background stencil. (Designs will vary.)
- What do I need to bring to class: Dye inks in the color(s) of your choice, blending brushes, wet wipes, and adhesive. Optional: Your favorite coloring medium and stencil tape. Please Note: We expect everyone to get their favorite 8 cards stenciled, but coloring (if desired) and assembly will likely need to be completed later.
- What do I need to finish at home: Optional: Favorite coloring medium (colored pencils, markers, etc.) and accent color paper layers (if desired) for assembling cards.
- What techniques will I learn or use: You will learn how to use stencils to create spotlights and visual texture.
- Will I complete this project in class: Work at home will be needed to finish projects.
