Take advantage of the wonderful world of crafting by daring to venture into something new! Learn the methods for creating this one-of-a-kind album using Steampunk-style techniques. This magnificent wood cover album (9 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 2 1/4") is specifically designed for intermediate and advanced-level crafters. Our two-hour workshop will get you inspired with even more great ideas and exciting ways to unleash your imagination!
- What products will be highlighted: Wood products, stencils, chipboard cutouts, metallic acrylic paint, Gesso, flat pearl accents, paper and cardstock, ephemera, and faux leather.
- What will I learn or complete: Putting together the album covers, creating binding, and decorating the album covers.
- What do I need to bring to class: Paper trimmer, scoreboard, scissors, X-Acto or craft knife, tweezers, bone folder, blow dryer (for faster drying results), spatula, silicone brush (or regular brush), sea sponge for painting effects, Gorilla Glue for wood, Beacon Permanent Fabric Adhesive, double-sided tape, liquid glue, and wipes. Optional: Gloves.
- What do I need to finish at home: Paper trimmer, scoreboard, scissors, X-Acto or craft knife, tweezers, bone folder, blow dryer (for faster drying results), spatula, silicone brush (or regular brush), sea sponge for painting effects, Gorilla Glue for wood, Beacon Permanent Fabric Adhesive
- What techniques will I learn or use: You will learn how to use metallic acrylic paint and chipboard cutouts in coordination with wood items, paper, and faux leather material.
- Will I complete this project in class: It is possible some people will finish the projects in class.
