Join Tonya from Peddlers Den and learn how to create fast, easy, effective clouds using pairs of ink (not provided), stencils and sponges. You will be working on glossy cardstock with bold silhouette images. Because we do not have enough time to stamp and allow these images to dry, we will be providing prepared card faces for you to work on, as well as a practice sheet of high gloss cardstock for you to use to learn the technique. You will be provided papers and envelopes for the four cards shown and after stenciling, you can assemble them. Because you will have learned the technique in class and you will be keeping your sponges and stencil, you can finish later if necessary. We do not want you to feel rushed or stressed!
- What products will be highlighted: Cloud stenciling, layering, and sponging color on high gloss cardstock.
- What will I learn or complete: Four cards to be finished at your own pace.
- What do I need to bring to class: Water-based dye inks in pairs of colors (a red/yellow combo and a light blue/pink combo are suggested) and adhesive.
- What do I need to finish at home: Nothing.
- What techniques will I learn or use: You will learn how to stencil and sponge clouds and how to layer colors.
- Will I complete this project in class: It is possible some people will finish the projects in class.
