Difficulty Rating (Intermediate)

Type of Workshop:

Card Making    Coloring    Stamping

Things that are far away appear lighter, smaller, and less distinct. Learn to create depth and perspective using this principle with stamped color! You will stamp on coated cardstock using various colors to create your scene. You will enhance your card by "painting" with ink using our blending ovals. Minimal masking will be used. This is a technique-laden class!

  • What products will be highlighted: You will utilize masking, stamped color, painting with ink, and the art fundamentals relating to the depth and perspective.
  • What will I learn or complete: You will leave class with one 5 x 7" card that you have made, as well as blending ovals and instructions. (The stamps and other tools used in class will NOT be taken home.)
  • What do I need to bring to class: Dye ink pads in the following colors: yellow, yellow green, medium to dark green, medium brown and black, as well as scissors, medium-size acrylic block(s), and permanent tape runner (Tombow or comparable).
  • What do I need to finish at home: We expect you to finish in class but if you do not, you will need a handle to use with your blending ovals.
  • What techniques will I learn or use: You will learn about masking, creating depth and perspective using spot color, and painting with ink pads and our blending ovals.
  • Will I complete this project in class: Yes it is very likely you will finish the projects in class.
